A new organization starts with a 30-day trial of Complete. When the trial ends, the organization is on Essentials until a plan is chosen. To change your plan, contact Larström Technologies.

Mailboxes

Your bill counts mailboxes: the active users synced from your directory (see API connectors) or added on the Users page, including organization administrators. Shared mailboxes and distribution lists are free: directory sync stores shared mailboxes as disabled users and never adds distribution lists, so neither is counted.

Moving to Essentials

Nothing is deleted when an organization moves from Complete (or a trial) to Essentials. What Essentials does not include is paused and works again after an upgrade:

  • API connectors keep syncing users and signing users in, but stop scanning mailboxes and pulling back delivered mail. The connector page says so.
  • Clawback: the Claw back button on a message is unavailable.
  • API tokens answer 403 until the upgrade; they are not revoked.
  • Secure messages you already sent cannot be opened until the upgrade, and new ones cannot be sent.
  • Outbound mail through Obsidian Suite is refused (550 5.7.1), so route outbound mail directly before you move.
  • AI review set to async or inline runs in hold mode.
  • Message history and quarantine older than 30 days are removed by the next cleanup, which runs every six hours.
